Know Hope – Take At Least this Burden from Me

The video features Know Hope’s latest installation in the streets of his native
Tel Aviv done in January 2010. More than that, it’s a rare account of his intent
and delicate workflow. Behold Know Hope spinning forward his narrative
of loss and gain, time and timeliness, maturation and reluctance,
and the load experience weighs on his characters shoulders.

For everybody eager delving into the intricate yet archetypic symbolicism of his art,
we would like to recommend the latest interview with him on arrestedmotion.

Evan Roth Graffiti Analysis 2.0 @ BLK River Festival VIE

During BLK River Festival 2009 writers and the interested public ware invited in an open call to participate in a GA 2.0 capturing session, hosted by Evan Roth and Chris Sugrue:

“Graffiti Analysis is an extensive ongoing study in the motion of graffiti. Custom software designed for graffiti writers creates visualizations of the often unseen motion involved in the creation of a tag. Motion data is recorded, analyzed and archived in a free and open database, 000000book.com, where writers can share analytical representations of their hand styles. All tags created in Graffiti Analysis are saved as Graffiti Markup Language (GML) files, a new digital standard used by other popular graffiti applications such as Laser Tag and EyeWriter. Graffiti Analysis 2.0 is an open source project that is available online for free in OSX, Windows and Linux.”

Graffiti Analysis is a project by Evan Roth. All of the software changes in GA2.0 were written by Mzz Chris Sugrue, with support from the Fondation Cartier. GA1.0 was created at Parsons Art Media & Technology with input and advising from Zach Lieberman. Graffiti Analysis was built in Open Framewerkz.

State of Sabotage – Territorial Phantom 02

1

The State of Sabotage (SoS) is everywhere. Utilizing a few manhole covers, this infiltration of established systems is performed as an abolishment of state-regulated land ownership and demarcation. The SoS manhole cover is a state border shift, a new state demarcation, and an artistic sculpture by Robert Jelinek – a transnational entrance on national territory.
