State of Sabotage - Territorial Phantom 02
By definition the State of Sabotage (SoS) is a transterritorial state
of culture. The State of Sabotage (SoS) is everywhere. Utilizing a few
manhole covers, this infiltration of established systems is performed as
an abolishment of state-regulated land ownership and demarcation. The
SoS manhole cover is a state border shift, a new state demarcation, and
an artistic sculpture by Robert Jelinek - a transnational entrance on
national territory. This entrance is hidden on Vienna's Danube Island in
a small part called "The Dead Grounds", it wasn't to be found yet.

The formation "Sabotage" was founded by artist Robert Jelinek in the
area of the Documenta IX in Kassel in June 1992.
